Since the release of Windows 10 version 1809, you can check the battery level more quickly using the Settings app. Of course, this is possible only if the Bluetooth device supports this feature.

Check Bluetooth devices battery life using Settings
To check the battery level of your compatible Bluetooth devices, use these steps:
- Open Settings on Windows 10.
- Click on Devices.
- Click on Bluetooth & other devices.
- Under the “Mouse, keyboard, & pen” section, you’ll see a battery percentage indicator on the right side for the Bluetooth device.
On supported devices, the battery level will update every time your device and Bluetooth peripheral are connected.
If you don’t see the battery indicator, it’s likely because you’re not running the supported version of Windows 10, or your Bluetooth device doesn’t support this feature.
